Set thoes mouse traps.

Once again I’m rebooting this blog in an attempt to help me work more on my miniatures. This time we’re talking Warhammer. I know some of you out there have a hate boner for the game but I don’t. Sure gw is a pain in the ass at times but I like rank and file combat on the table top.
So with that I’m going skaven, (and let’s face it I’m a furry so it was bound to happen). I’ve got 1000 pts to paint, that a lot of rats to work on and like the sons of St. N’bel I’m trying to get a move on them.
The overall theme of the force is snow so this army shall be known as Clan Frostbite. Seeing how my list is headed up by a 2nd level plague priest and a 20 man block of nasty plague monks I figured that would be a great place to start. Trying to keep the theme quick and simple I’m going for some quick and dirty painting rules.

1. Use of black, plague monk robes and armor are all black with gray trim.
2. No blending on the core. I will use blending on war machines, beasts and the command lines. ( let’s face it 5 of 60 isn’t a lot of blending in the end.
3. Set color pallet across the army. This means choosing one set of paints and making every unit some variation of those colors.
4. Inks are my best friend. I love the gw inks/washes and I plan on abusing them but at the same time there will be no ‘dipping’.

Once again this is going to be a challenge but at least this time I don’t have a set due date.
